AJ Day?
According to SI's Jon Heyman, today is the day the Yanks will get down to cases with Toronto fireballer AJ Burnett. While he was humiliating them in the 2008 season, Burnett reportedly told Johnny Damon and others that he really wanted to join the Yanks. I guess we'll see how true that is. Burnett is a gamle on greatness type of signing. When he's on, he shuts down the best lineups in baseball, when he's not he's either underachieving or injured. I think signing him would improve the Yanks but it will be riskier in years and dollars than some of the other options. I'd hope that any deal with Burnett wouldn't close the door on any of their other pitching plans. Go Yanks.

In her live chat Kat says we have the funds to sign CC and Tex plus another starter.
Francesa is going on a rant about the Yanks now telling them to let CC go saying we should stop begging
There are some crazy people out there and Francesa is one of them.
I agree with you Phil, he is acting like what he calls WWE buffoonery making him the big buffoon.
Kat seems to be more confident of what we will wind up with then most, and has suggested we are in on Tex more then is being published.
I have believed we are in on Tex for awhile now.
We have both been big proponents of Tex signing. . You have been one of the few that stated we can get both, where as most are saying one or the other. I think when it's all said and done we will wind up with a combo of CC/Tex/Sheets/AJ and someone else

i agree with francesca...we are offering this guy a contract that is ridiculous and the way he has just shown disrespect to the Yankees for the past month is unbelieavable i say fuck him pull the contract away sign Burnett Sheets Lowe and Tex and let Pettite Walk...have Wang Burnett Lowe Joba and Sheets as starters
Phil what do you make of San Fransisco's interest, some reports are stating they are the faves for CC
We'll see. We haven't lost any other opportunities while waiting for CC.
Hopefully Cash is off site with CC's agent and he is dotting the I's and crossing the T's, and then immediately gets on the phone w Boras and locks up Tex :)
I don't think it's CC. I think it's Sheets or AJ.
