Cameron Coming?

According to good ol' Dan Graziano, the Yanks and Brewers today resumed their trade talks for Mike Cameron. DG thinks it could be a straight up trade for Melky Cabrera and that's one the Yanks should make. Cameron has 1 year left on his deal and would actually be a very good placeholder should Austin Jackson have a breakout minor league season in 2009. Cameron was 10 runs better than average on both offense and defense last year, and that would work nicely for the Yanks. He K's a lot, but he also hits homers and has walked at times during his career, so could probably be encouraged to do more of that now in the Yanks', hopefully, patient line-up. Make it happen, Cash!

UPDATE: Feinsand says it's happening: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/2008/12/11/2008-12-11_sources_yankees_to_trade_melky_cabrera_t-1.html
