It's Official!

Alex Rodriguez is back on the 40 man roster - for the next ten years. His new Yankee deal was finally signed today and said all the right and predictable things on his conference call. Mo's is the only deal that hasn't been anounced, and that could happen as soon as tomorrow, if the Yankee offices haven't been too disrupted by the Mitchell report. Who knows what Cash is up to? Go Yanks!

Phil, do you see us trying to sign Prior for a low risk incentive deal?

Not really. He'd be useless for most if not all of this year and need a spot on the 40. There's no 60 man DL in the offseason, so he couldn't be stashed there.

I know he is a starter, but if there was room, I think he could be useful out of the pen while trying to prove he could stay healthy.

With the Giants out of the Matsui hunt, it would seem we have to move another piece out to get back in on Santana. According to Schilling he is going to Boston and they will win 120 games HA!!!

the problem is there's no room and he's not healthy.
