Yanks Set to Sign LaTroy Hawkins
After being linked to LaTroy Hawkins twice in the past, it seems the Yanks are about to add the veteran well travelled reliever for 1 year and 3.75M. Seems like an okay move. It means Viz will go somewhere else, and the Yanks will get a supplemental pick. Furthermore, his deal, and likely his performance won't block any of the kids. At the same time, having Hawkins will probably mean the Yanks won't have to rush anyone. Reasonable move. Go Yanks!

The only good thing about this is that it's only a 1-year deal.

I agree they do, so maybe it is not totally out of the question. I wonder what Cash is up to... I still think that we will get back in the Santana bidding at some point.
