Yankees Trade Deadline Thread
With no game to play till after the deadline, Cash is no doubt working the phones. With Dotel headed to the Braves, he is very likely auctioning off Farnsworth to the highest bidder - my guess would be the Dodgers. No news for his own search for relief help, but I'm as interested in what we can get rid of as I am in what we can get. Go Cash! Go Yanks!

Mariano is on with Michael Kay and just said we need bullpen help. He has not given a ringing endorsement to Farnsworth or Proctor. He is saying they are not getting the job done. Says they are trying but it's not just happening. Says velocity is only part of it.
Mo just came flat out and said we need to make deals. Bullpen for starters he said..

Gammons said we are in on Gagne. He also says that if we get Gagne, that Proctor and Farnsworth are both gone. If not he says likely only one will be.
Says Proctor for Betemit being discussed.
Olney said earlier we may have an interest in Clint Barmes for Farnsworth.

Excellent!!! Addition by subtraction with Farnsworth. Does it look good for us on the Gagne front? I hope if we do get him we extend him. If Proctor goes I would not think it would be for Betemit? I do not see us getting both Barmes and Betemit.
Are you a Barmes fan?
I like what Gammons had to say in regards to the Yanks and it made sense.
