Take Alexis

The Rangers cannot screw around with this. Alexis Lafrentiere is a rare talent. Having said that, he's not an incomporable talent if you can imagine and much more physical Panarin. He's that. Grelinat vision, geeat hands, great passing and 2.15 points a game. In a lot of ways, he's like Kakko was in his draft year, but a better representation because he was playing against peers in the Q and in U18 and the other junior showcases and Kakko was playing against men, though he also dominated and scored the winning goal in the U18 last year. But there is power in both bodies, vision and hands and those translate to passing and shooting.  Both are left shots, but Kakko play RW so they can play on the same line. I'm hoping the Rangers let that happen.

Kakko didn't play enough top 6 this year and it stifled him a bit.  And Jespter Fast who is a UFA and Pavel Buchnevich shouldn't have been blocking him in the top 6. Hoping that the Rangers let Fast leave and be "glue" eslewhere and trade Buch during the draft or UFA period, to clear the way for Lafreniere, Kakko and Kravstov.
