Joe Judge Speaketh

So, Joe Judge had his second presser from camp today, and the most interesting revelation was that Coach Colombo was spending extra time with Nick Gates and Brendan Lemieux to train that up at Center to compete with Spencer Pulley. Hopefully, Kyle Murpy is also in that tutorial as he actually started a game at C while at URI. This shows that the Giants would like a better C, and are hoping to build one. That said,  they'll clearly be watching the waiver wire and perhaps working the phones.

Judge also said they wanted Gates to focus on Center so he can compete to star and Tackle, right now, but that he can play all 5 positions on the line. His new contract, no doubt, reflects their appreciation of his versatility.

UPDATE: Sam Beal has opted out of the 2020 season. That's insane. Anyway, we've really got to hope Baker is available now.
