Knicks: Woodson Joins Thibs

As rumored, former Knick, Knick assistance and Knick Head Coach, Mike Woodson is returning to the team as an assistang on Coach Thibodeau's first start. This is a little perpleing given that Woodson originally returned to the Knicks as MDA's "defensive coordinator." You may remember all the switching. The defense that Thibs is famous for doesn't rely on switching. And it doesn't seem like Thibs would hire a guy then defer to his defense, so it's unclear what strategic purpose Woodson would fill. Of course Mike Woodson is a Bobby Knight guy, so he may be there to help install the fundsamentals that have so long been absent from the Knicks.
