Rangers: Morgan Barron Signs

Ending a stalemate that was getting somewhat disconcerting, the Rangers signed Morgan Barron, today. Barron was their 6th round pick back in 2017, who has done nothing but get better and better at Cornell. At last Fall's prospect camp, Barron was one of the most impressive players. But as time marched on and Barron remained unsigned - thoughts began creeping in that he might pull a Hayes or  a Fox move on the Rangers, who have, in the past swooped in when prospects didn't want to sign or finished their college careers without signing. It now appears that Barron is a straight shooter who really did want to chase an NCAA title with Cornell. Good team guy.

The best case scenario for the Rangers is if Chytil has a great playoff, they pass on resigning Strome and then have Barron compete for number 3 C when camp starts. He's a big guy who can skate and has has good hands and feet. He could be future core.
