Knicks Pursuing Kenny Payne

And the pursuit of Payne speaks well of Thibodeau's search for asssitant coahes.  Payne, who won an NCAA title with Pervis Ellison at Louisville, would be the player development coach for the Knicks. It's a tricky situation  because Payne is Calipari's right hand man, and Payne's son is currently a walk on at Kentucky. So it's tough get, but Payne really connects with young players in ways the Knicks haven't been able to in 20 years.Think of him as the "good cop."
