Boone: Tyler Wade Makes the Team
Aaron Boone just admitted what we were all expecting: Tyler Wade will be on the 25 man roster to start the season. He didn't outright give him the 2B job, though he's earned it. I guess the illusion of competition remains important over these last few days. What the Yanks are getting in Tyler Wade is very much like a lefty hitting Willie Randolph. He hits, takes his walks and can run like the wind. He has more positional versatility than Willie, but remember, with better health luck Willie might have made the Hall of Fame. He was better than some of the guys that did. So let's see what Tyler can do. In the long run, I think he or Torres will force a Didi trade.

I hope this means Torreyes isn’t making the team.
If they want Machado, and I don’t care if they do or they don’t, Didi had got to go, although as I have pointed out there are multiple reasons to trade Didi.
I won’t complain about a Machado-Wade-Torres left side of the infield, I just prefer a lefty DH in addition.
Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees optioned the following players to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre:
•INF/OF Tyler Austin
•RHP Giovanny Gallegos
•RHP Ben Heller
•OF Billy McKinney
I thought Tyler was out of options. ]
Meanwhile. Judge is waking up. 2 bombs.
