Giants Will Be Giants
The Giants did what most of us thought they would do and brought back Dave Gettleman to be their new GM. He's the 67 year old former Panthers GM, who was the Pro Player guy under Accorsi then Jerry, till he left for the Panthers. He'll know where the bathrooms are, but bring nothing new. I'm sure the owners, such as they are, felt they were reaching back for their glory days like they did when they finally hired Tom Coughlin in 2004. This is sickening. Gettleman got dumped in Carolina because he didn't get along with the players. I'm sure he likes Eli, but our best player is Odell and I'm not confident in how that will work out at all. It also means most of the rest of the executive crew will be kept and so the drafts won't improve. And he'll probably pick a coach from the Carolina staff, instead of some better staffs around the league. This is predictable and self-destruvtive of the Giants.
Now they need a Coach, and it will probable be that DC from Carolina.

Mara is a lying lowlife.
There should be a new estate tax levied just on sports owners. Every single owner in this town of the teams we root for has done nothing in terms of achievement. It’s all thanks dad or granddad.
I will say one thing positive. I heard that the Carolina defensively coordinator, at this point I can’t remember who said it, is a very dynamic guy was very impressive in interviews, and the person who said this said he thought McAdoo was a zero when interviewed him before he became head coach.
Also, if they want to make this a good hire find somebody like Elliot Wolf, a young and up-and-coming guy from outside the organization who can be the heir apparent if he and DG earn that.
Terrible, as I’ve said before Mara takes over as the worst owner in NY.
lol what a joke. wholesale changes my ass. the season ends this week, why wouldn't they wait to interview other people from different organizations, just to at least hear their ideas?
