Yanks Promote Dillon Tate to Trenton
Dillon Tate had been smoking them in High A since his activation from the DL. The other day I think he went 7.2 on 98 pitches and 9 K's, or something. Anyway, it was getting suspicious so now they've fixed it. I sat next to his cousin when the Yanks were playing the Angels, and he told me Dillon's problem had been the hammy, but his other problem had been his over reliance on his slider and his back pocketing of his big fastball. I think that's what's been corrected and why he is starting to fly. You really can't have enough power arms. Also, Trenton should get Sheffield back toward the end of the month and ready for the playoffs.

His reemergence has been a great surprise. Love the groundballs too.
I'd say it's a tribute to our minor league rehab and pitching coaches. He looked like he'd puched his tciket back to the pen, but now he's looking la little like an American Sevy.

Rich, notice how Sherman is talking about Kap's clock, just as I did when the trade went through?
Yup, it is a good point.
CC has pitched relatively well overall but he has no margin for error.
It's hard to watch bad offense.
Mitchell was very good though.
Looking more and more like Rich was right, and they overestimated how good they actually were.
If we are looking for reasons to be optimistic, the pitching has been good, the offense probably isn't this bad and they should get some guys back soon. Can they stay close enough until that happens?
CC's very bad knee pain on the landing leg
How much do they actually want to win? I heard the predictable manager respond to a question about the anemic offense by saying these are our guys all year.
Todd Frazier has been here for an hour and he has sucked.
Andujar has a reasonable chance of being better.
Phil mentioned Cave.
So they made these trades for NOW, to go from good to great as Cashman said. Whatever.
How much do they want to win? Do they have the guts to think different.
By the trade deadline, I felt the Yankees didn't need to acquire a bat because there were plenty of internal options. Still feel that way.
Im glad they didn't. I was and for internal options at all positions and a new manager.
I have a feeling Hicks and Bird coming back will give this team a boost. I also wonder if maybe Andujar should DH when rosters expand. (There's still some concern about his glove, apparently, mostly centering around his throwing sidearm and them trying to get him to stop doing that.) Judge and Sanchez will probably get hot again at some point, too.
Clint with an oblique
Probably DL'd for Hicks tomorrow.
This game better not suck.
Can they please move Judge and Sanchez down in the lineup already? Take pressure off them and let them figure themselves out.
T Frazier will now never sit.
Yes, Tanaka was less than meh, but Girardi will always find a way to get up or use every reliever he is given.
Clint Frazier (oblique) will have an MRI in the morning, Joe Girardi said. "I don't think it's really significant." -- @BryanHoch

Some reports the Yankees were in on Bruce. Panic, if true.

I suspect these moves are being directed from the top and that is where the panic had set in.
So as long as they don't have to pick up contracts, any move is possible unless they start winning again.
