Sanchize
Yanks just crushed the Sox again, and Gary Sanchez had his second two homer game of the month. He also threw out a baserunner and allowed the only run of the game on a passed ball, and took a walk. He drove in 5 of the Yanks 9 runs. For his part, Judge failed to homer, but did go 3-4 with a walk and also happened to demonstrate the highest exit velocity by any player in baseball on his second hit. Elevate! Pineda was pretty good, and like Sevy sometimes gives up bad contact dribblers for hits. It's not particularly fair, but it seems to happen to both of them sometimes. Warren pitched a scoreless 8th, then Gallegos got two outs to start the ninth, then Betances, who needed the work came in and loaded the bases before striking out the final batter and ending it.

Huh?
Betances threw 17 pitches and Girardi said there was a chance he could use Betances for all three games this weekend against the Orioles.
His workload has been pretty light of late, so we'll see.
Tanaka pushed back to Monday. Adams in the mix, but if it's for one start and right back down, I think I won't start someone else.
I'd be fine if it was just for one start.
It burns a 40 man spot.
He's gonna end up on there eventually anyway. Plus, there are several candidates due for a DFA.
Ok
Monty pitched very well.
I don't think even Cashman thought Hicks would be this good, but credit to him and the analytics department for sticking with him, because he's serving a lot of crow right now.
Yes, but as you have noted, JB, Jr hasn't followed up with another big year.
