Giants Sign Devin Taylor

The Giants just signed DE Devin Taylor to add yet another body to their endless waves of passrushers. Taylor will either join the rotation or force guys like Owa and Wynn to up their games. He is a reasonably Spag-type DE and it's a mild surprise he's still available now.  But, with the comp pick rules, I guess it makes some sense.  Interesting signing for an already crowded position group.

UPDATE: The Giants have also signed S Duke Ihenacho, who was a pretty popular sleeper prospect at one point.  Again, more competion at a loaded spot on the D.

LB?

UPDATE 2: To make room for Taylor and Ihenacho, the Gianst cut S Rahim Moore and LB Ishaq Williams.

I thought Williams might turn out to be a ringer, given that he'd already come back from missing so much time, and still made it through the whole season on the PSquad and even getting activated.  Oh well.

Like the moves. Good for competiton. Can never have enough pass rushers.

I think this is a pretty big change:

• There will be only one roster cut-down as teams make the 53-man deadline. Previously, teams first pared the roster from 90 to 75 players. Now they will go straight from 90 to 53.
