Chance Adams Promoted to AAA
In what might be the beginning of the end of CC Sabathia's spot in the Yankee rotation, the Yanks promoted Chance Adams from AA to AAA today. Adams has been terrific thus far, though his walks have been up. They'll probably look to fix it or see if it straightens back out before hitting the big. With Kap on the shelf, Adams is the Yanks best pitching prospect. Interestingly, like Severino and Sheffield, he's sort of short for a starting pitcher, not being 6'3"-`6"6" which seems to be the current model. That said, Whitey Ford and Ron Guidry were both under 6 feet tall, and they are among the greatest pitchers in Yankee history. And both Montgomery and Kap are tall, so we could end up with two big guys, and three smaller flame throwers in our rotation in the coming years. As you probably know, Chance throws a fastball, slider and change, and K's people.

Not a lot of walks the past two games. Oh well. The team was bound to hit a slump eventually.
Austin will be able to play in a game at the end of the week. With Bird healing slowly, they need him.
Anyway, Houston is very good and hot. I am a little concerned about Chapman though.
