Giants WR/KR Kevin Snead

The Giants have signed 6' 190 lbs WR/KR Kevin Snead from Carson Newman.  The signing was based on his tryout, and I'll tell you why that's a little encouraging after I give you the big headline.  Snead has run 40's in 4.22 and 4.26 seconds. That's crazy fast.  Anyway the Giants' decision to sign him after a tryout, and cut another player (OL Martin Wallace) is that they must have seen something other than straightline speed.  He's a great track athletes who has also played football in HS and college, but not much.  He only had 5 catches last year, and some scouts called him straight-liney.  I saw one high light with an explosive jump cut (took a pitch out of the backfield), so maybe he's got some hips.  Anyway, it's encouraging that they signed him after a tryout, rather than more or less sight unseen.
