Rangers Stuff

As we observe the continued soap opera of the Rangers' Garden Mates,  The Knicks, we have to be really grateful that Dolan doesn't care much about hockey.  Like the Knicks, the Rangers are heading into UFA in the next 24 hours, but there house is in far greater order because of Dolan's neglect.  The proof is in how many chances Sather has been given...

The Rangers re-sgined Smith and that was important and the still have to come to terms with Mika Z.  They seem to be interested in some C's in FA, and the Shattenkirk rumors haven't died, even though the Rangers traded for DeAnthony, who can run a PP and is years younger. I have to think Shattenkirk just wants to be a Ranger.  We'll see if he takes less to be one. Beyond that, the Rangers still need a backup goalie, I'm hoping they pick one from the group they already control.

And we'll see if anymore trades are on the way as Gorton continues his rebuild on the fly.
