Knicks Introduce Hornacek
The Knicks today finally introduced Jeff Hornacek as their new coach. I think the whole searching process was thorough and patiently executed. I think that caused problems in the media, who have a story mill to feed, and social media, which where people often try to gain cred with their "info." Anyway, Hornacek hasn't hired assistants yet, and doesn't know what they're gonna do with Rambis. Thank whatever you believe in that there wasn't an awkward replay of that Larry Brown/Herb Williams moment from that big presser.
Hornacek clearly sees the bigger picture of the triangle, which is simply proper spacing and moving the ball to the open man. He said they might call it the circle. He said they were going to run more, which will be a big adjustment to some. He seems excited about coaching KP, and asked why he couldn't be a top 5 player or the best player in the league. So he's seeing that correctly, too.
We'll see where they go from here, but he is good basketball man, and that's cool.
