Giants Stuff

The Giants made their first positive move of the season today by finally parting ways with Preston Parker.  It can pretty clearly be shown that if he didn't have multiple and key drops in the first two games, the Giants could easily be 2-0, instead of looking stupid and being 0-2.  I am glad their are consequences, the like we haven't seen for Stephen Drew or Tanner Glass on our other teams.

What's more, Victor Cruz (remember him) was going to try to practice today.  It will be great for the offense when and if he can finally go -- and if he's anything close to his old self.

Because of the seeming weakness of the division, the Giants will, perhaps, have their final chance to save their season Thursday night.  We'll see if they can do it.  They probably have to get the TE's a little more involved in the passing game to take pressure off of Odell and Vereen until Cruz is back.

This quote makes me think they kept Parker because of McAdoo, because what he said is the only thing anyone could say to defend it:

"I think Preston has some grit," McAdoo said. "He'll go in there and put his face on people if he has to, he's got his teammates' backs, he plays at a good speed. We just need a little more productivity out of him this week, and we trust that he'll bring it."

Corey Washington is working out for the Jets. I don't like that.

DRC and Flowers are iffy for the game.
