Yanks Win

Tex hit two bombs to bring his seasonal total up to 22, and CC finally won a game.  Drew also pinch hit a homer, though that really shouldn't save him and Pirela was 1-2 when he was lifted for Drew.  Binder call?  Anyway, enough of that crap.   Mitchell gave up a couple of runs in his first save back.  And Ellsbury was 1-4 in his return.  Big win that could have troubling repercussions.

The personal deployment takes the fun away but they still won. So yay.

OT, the NBA needs new free rules.

I'm guessing Capuano is here to stay since he didn't get cut with Miller's return. :-\

As helpful as Drew's home run was tonight, in that it was the difference in the game, it's bad for the Yankees long-term, in that it gives them an excuse to keep him around.

Yanks will land a starter for sure and i hope they hold onto elite prospects like Severino and Judge.

I see Cashman behind home plate and Gene Michael behind him.

Could be setting up for a trade or a callup of hopefully Refsnyder.

Severino should start

Mitchell should start now. Every other franchise would be doing that

Yanks DFA's Taylor Dugas, sent down Pirela and called up Cole Figueroa.

Petit was reportedly shaky at third last night, and I'd rather Pirela be playing every day than riding the bench in NY, so I've no problem with this. The larger problem is Drew and Capuano still being on the team.

I would play Drew at 3B and Refs at 2B

Nah, no more playing Drew outside of his natural position. Cut him when Ryan gets back, then call up Refsnyder. (Not that Headley hasn't stunk on both offense and defense.)
