Yanks Win Again

Yanks just beat the Royals using their homer + good pitching system.  Not sure what happened to Beltran, but he left the game for Heathcott, who had been on the bench at the start of the game, despite being the Yanks hottest hitter and an elite defender.  Hmmm.  Anyway, winning is better than losing even if it hides some warts.

Considering how many starts he has had in the ML, Warren has been pretty good.

I can't imagine another franchise contemplating taking Warren out of the rotation and leaving Capuano in.

If Capuano gets clocked again in his next start, there is no reason not to DFA him.

I doubt they'll DFA Capuano unless Tanaka comes back and they feel very confident that he's good at least for the rest of the season or both Tanaka and Nova come back and they feel very confident that at least one will be good for the rest of the season. Otherwise your fall-back is Mitchell, and his performances this year haven't exactly built confidence that he could handle a major league regular starting role, even on a temporary basis. Not that I wouldn't be delighted to see them get rid of Capuano and promote Mitchell, but I doubt that will happen unless Mitchell is showing something that so far hasn't translated into results.
