Thunder Score 15 In Their Debut

Aaron Judge hit a three run bomb, and Jake Cave and Dante Bichetter Jr. also homered as the rest of the Thunder added a bunch of doubles and hits to compile 15 runs in their season debut.  That was a Thunder record.  Sulbaran started and gave up 2 runs.  The Thunderous Yanks got 1 back, then went to work in the 7th.  Holy crap. I'm not sure this team will stay together long as promotions could be on the way in May, but whle they are, enjoy them.  They were like the `36 Newark Bears tonight.  Just holy crap.

The Casman offense is pitiful.

Fans on social media are becoming more vocal. Hope they talk with their wallets if the team keeps losing, as that's the only way it will get Hal's attention.

So if the Yankees are in the hunt come ASB, I can see Hal unloading the farm for Hamels and Utley

Who needs offense when you have The Keys To The Kingdom?

They will kill the pitching staff within a month. Cashman sold Hal on pitching. So yes, given how dumb the GM is, Hal may wake up and want hitting. Obviously, they should try kids first and live with the defense.

For now, Girardi can't pinch run for Alex. He cannot manage his usual way. Every move has to be to max out scoring opportunities.

If Pedro is right about Tanaka, and I have no idea if he is, these are truly awful people.

In SWB last night....

2B Rob Refsnyder: 0-4, 1 E (fielding) — error led to two runs

A-Rod is the fulcrum of the offense. That's nuts.

No one for SWB hit last night. By all accounts, Drew's defense has been below-average at best, so if you're going to have bad defense anyway, the young player with upside should be the one getting the call. Refsnyder proved last season his bat was ready. This team needs offense to the point where defense can be sacrificed.

"He could be on the Yankees right now." -Brian Cashman

...yet he's in Triple-A. Sums this organization up.

The BFD is you cant give up extra runs with this pitching staff....

Yet scoring runs doesn't matter?

BTW, John Ryan Murphy should be getting more starts than what the initial plan likely was.

I guess LNJ is the real failed GM since he wanted Drew for SS....I guess if he can't hit playing 2B, playing SS would have made a difference...
