Stepan Steals One!

Wow.   That was worth keeping the National Championship Game going on my phone!   The Rangers were too fancy most of the night and were down 3-2 in the final minute.  Then, with 21 seconds left, Miller found Kreider who found Stepan to send the game to overtime.   In the final minute of overtime, Kreider found Stepan again for the win!   They both ended up with three points.  Stepan assisted and Kreider had both assisted on Girardi's goal, before the heroics started.  MSL had a goal early from Hayes, but then kept falling down.  It was also a very uneven game for McD, and we really need him to be the great McD of last year's playoffs.  They have 109 points now, which ties their second most ever.

The Stepan. Kreider, Miller line is insane right now.

Miller also played very well. He has really been solid the past couple of months, since he has been playing on a regular basis.

Girardi scares me. He seems to be making too many D-Zone clearing attempts through the middle, and when the opposition pinches, this leads to trouble.

I agree with MBN. Girardi was terrible last postseason too. As much as I hated giving up Duke, Yandle was necessary with Girardi being so careless with clearing the puck.

I like the Yandle trade waaaaay more than the MSL trade, which I still loathe no matter what he does, because of his geriatric-ness.

Thank goodness our scouts and FO have been able to sign other people's first rounders or good grade collegiate FA's.

As much as the Duclair trade hurts and will hurt, we still have a bunch of guys with Ranger upside (meaning elite team upside) on the farm.

And who knows we might be able to regain a 1 at some point.
