This Week On The Blog
This week on the blog should be pretty eventful, if more than a little frustrating on the MLB side. Let's take a look.
Rangers: the Rangers after a franchise record breaking season will attempt to correct what was stolen from them by some crap referees last year. Let's hope there are no other injuries and they play their best, because that should do the trick.
Yanks: They look horrible at the MLB level so far. Maybe they'll improve, maybe they won't. But thir Trenton franchise thus far looks like a powerhouse, and we'll probably end up talking more about them here, instead of more lossed at the MLB level.
Giants: The Giants will move another week closer to the draft in this convoluted new version of the NFL "year." They really have no excuse not to have a good one, and not look a lot better by draft's and UDFA's period end. Let's hope so, because as close as they are, until they solve a few things like the OL, they'll still be far away.
Knicks: They have to stop playing pretty soon, and then we have to wait for the draft lottery to see if they'll be allowed to win it every 30 years or whether it will be worse. They should get a good player and should be looking for more picks.
So there it is. Let's go Rangers! Let's Go Yankee System! Let's Go Giant Scouts! And let's go, Phil Jackson. And let's go all of you. Have a great week.

The Knicks are winning so that sucks.
All I care about with the Yankees is that they don't harm their future, but with this GM , I think they will because he probably sold Hal that the pitching could carry the offense.
Cashman must run the Knicks.
Austin is smoking the ball at AAA. What a nice sight.
Pulling for Austin to be the one called up if Beltran goes down.
Can we just DFA Beltran, McCann, and Tex and play kids? They would WIN more NOW.
That's an awful lot of money to swallow all at once, but I agree it would be nice.
I'll say this about A-Rod — a big reason I wouldn't mind him sticking around if they brought up kids en masse is because of his approach at the plate. With bases loaded, no outs, he just worked a walk instead of getting himself out.
That's the kind of approach I want to see from my hitters in big spots if I'm running a team: smart at-bats where you don't try to do too much.
I would be a lot more tolerant of Gregorious's fielding miscues if I felt like he had any offensive upside at all. Alas...
Texeira will be here through 2016 and hopefully Bird can be READY to step in.
McCann is here to stay.
Beltran I can see being traded with the Yanks eating money if they are out of it come the trade deadline....Than Refsnyder can go back to his natural position of RF.
Refsnyder doesn't have the power to play in right. Giving up on him there now makes zero sense.
Tex will be a platoon player by the end of the year.
You can't keep playing has-beens that only help you lose.
Refs will be the 2B by July.
Tough to watch:
Jacoby Ellsbury CF
Brett Gardner LF
Carlos Beltran DH
Mark Teixeira 1B
Alex Rodriguez 3B
Chris Young RF
John Ryan Murphy C
Didi Gregorius SS
Gregorio Petit 2B
RHP Michael Pineda
New threads.
