Giants Smack Cheap Shotting Rams

The Giants just hurt their draft position while hurting the Rams.  Eli was awesome throwing for nearly 400 yards, 3TDs and no picks.   Beckham was Beckham with 2 more TD's and nearly 150 yards.   He was also the tartget of several cheap shots, and the refs have not done enough to protect him or punish the offenders.   Oh and by the way, he's over 1100 yards this year.

Andre Williams and Ruben Randle also went over 100 yards.  And Orleans Darkwa may be a guy at running back.  He scored.

On D, Kerry Wynn had a sack, an intercetion and a fumble recovery.  So, he too, may be a guy.  I want to see some of their defenders with a better coordinator -- and I think we will next year.   JPP looks healthier than he's been and made more plays.  Let's hope they can get the right price.

Preston Parker and DaMontre Moore were ejected sticking up for Odell Beckham Jr. after a late hit out of bounds.   The refs made a mess of that and the rest of the game.   But the Giants beat those cheap shot artists in their own studio.   Nice win.

This sucks. I wish they learned the trap of stupid wins last season, when they paid <0 dividends this year.

I guess they love being mediocre.

Mediocre got them Odell Beckham Jr. at #12 last year...

BTW, I would have been happy losing this one if the Rams didn't need to get punched in the face like they did.

Who cares about the draft position? We learned a lot more about the team and its players by winning this game today. Reese has drafted very good players and numerous starters at a lot of different spots in the first round. We will get a good player, let the chips fall where they may and let the team continue to play with some passion and show some improvement.

We haven't been playing great teams, but the Rams are a good defense, and you have to say that in the last several weeks the Giants have finally really been looking comfortable in the McAdoo O. Of course that could just be the McAdoo adapting to Beckham and the fact that he's just so damn good. Now we highlight him and he dominates every week.

Also you can't stop a great player from dominating. You might be hoping from losses, but how can you keep a talent like Beckham down. Enjoy him, and hope he stays healthy next year, because regardless of where we draft, his ability will keep us in contention next year.

If we lose vs Philly I believe we can be no worse than 10?

I care about the draft position, and it's reasonable to do so. It makes it more likely that they get better players in every round.

Sure, it's great they stood up for Beckham; it was the best thing Parker did this year.

But I don't see a strong case to be made that Coughlin/Reese have this thing headed back to the top any time soon. And a large part of that is that Coughlin sucks at picking coordinators on his own.

The other part is that Reese has sucked a picking LB, OL, and TE for most of is tenure. Maybe it's Ross' fault, but is there any indication that he is leaving? Nope.

Accorsi/Reese got things done. Reese/Ross, not so much.

I would like to see them draft a LT, move Beatty to RT, figure out Schwartz/Pugh at LG and RG, and play Richburg at C>

I'd rather draft a LG. Pugh has looked very good at RT since coming back from injury. Beatty's fine at LT, and I don't think he has the power I'd want to see at RT.

Making RIchburg C is critical.

And to think Beckham has racked up all his numbers in just 11 games...

Yup, now let's see if we can fix the OL and other weapons around him.

Including a reliable TE who can block and not fumble.

Lacking a TE who can block has been a part of the overall protection problem. FA might be the way to go there, since it takes so long to develop one.
