Tanaka Triumphs in Return

Masahiro Tanaka pitched 5.1 innings of 1 run ball, with 4 K's in his return.  It was good enough for the win as McCann homered two more times, Jeter had 4 hits and Brett Gardner his the 15000th home run in Yankee history.   It should have come a few years ago, but poor planning meant it came today.   We'll see how Masahiro feels over the next few days.   But if the prehab really worked, we may have a full time ace next year. By all rights, this Yankee team probably would have made the playoffs if not for the injuries to Tanaka and some of the others.   Great return win.

The Braves let Frank Wren go. Thus highlighting the difference between a forward-thinking organization, and the team we root for. :-\

The Braves have to worry about making money. Hal doesn't care because the cash cow produces so much milk, so why bother hiring a real GM rather than one who is largely ridden Buck and Stick's coatails?
