Rangers Training Camp Opens Tomorrow

The Rangers will open their training camp tomorrow, and thankfully there are no holdouts, and everyone will be there.   They do have a few issues to work out with the roster, as all of the contested positions, like third line C, some of the wings, and 7th D will all feature competition between retreads and prospects.   Ultimately, we'd want the prospects to win all the jobs, but AV sure seems to like his veterans, so that will be interesting.  How much better will a kid have to be to get a job?

Also, the Rangers have to make a decision about Marc Staal.  He was 6 for 6 or North thereof, they seem inclined to give him a deal like they gave Girardi.   At this point this could play out like Girardi's deal did or he could end up getting traded like Cally did.

One interesting thing I will be following in training camp is where Nash plays. I could see him actually being on the line with Brassard and Zuc. But that will mean returning him to the Left Wing, and I do not think that is the best spot for Nash.
