This Week On The Blog
Could be an interesting week on the blog, even though the deadline has passed, the Knicks and Rangers have been quiet, and the Giants will just keep plugging along in training camp.
Let's take a look.
Yankees: This is the week people were predicting things should get serious with Rusney Castillo. I don't know if they've met with him yet, since first they denied they were, then it turned out they were indeed. Needless to say, they should grab him, and re-open the high end of the Cuban talent pool. Beyond that, they should start running guys through waivers and seeing what's possible. Of course, the biggest news of the season could come tomorrow when they find out whether or not Tanaka will be able to start a throwing program.
Giants: Giants have their first preseason game in about 90 minutes. We'll have to see how they come out of that, and if we have the right depth. Cuts are coming and there will probably be more swapping out of FA for guys on the roster.
Knicks: The Knicks have been quiet, but I think the secondary market may be waiting for Love to land. I still think they could trade for size.
Rangers: I've felt a trade was coming all summer, and I'll stick with that. They seem to be at an awkward stage in their relationship with Marc Staal, and that bears watching.
So, the Yanks and Giants will probably provide the biggest news, but the MSG teams are always lurking. So we'll see. Let's hope the news for the teams and all of you is great!

Nice summary post.
Personally, I hope the Rangers work quickly with Stahl.. Either sign him or trade him before camp opens. What went on with Giradi and Cally last year is not "healthy" for the team. You could say the same with Hank's deal, but everyone knew that was coming, it was only a matter of when.
I think all Knick trades will wait until after 08/24/14, which is 30 days from when Wiggins signed his deal with the Cavs.
Roc Nation represents Castillo. You think they move quickly, or hold off , as they try to build up some bidding?
