Yanks Win

Nutty game.   And I wonder if these two teams realize how much they currently resemble each other. They both started rookies, they're both made up of some past champions and placeholder.  To their credit the Red Sox have more young players in the line-up.   Anyway, Greene varied between awesome and sort of bad today.  He was mostly awesome, but gave up 3 runs including a 2 run jack to HGH Napoli in the second.    His pitch count got elevated,  and he left with 2 out in the 4th, doing himself out of a win.   The bullpen was more or less solid, though Warren was charged with a run when Ortiz somehow got around on a 98MPH Betances FB for a sac fly.    Betances was beastly, hitting 100 for 4 straight pitches before K'ing HGH Napoli, who had been fouling them off.   DRob worked around a hit to get another save in the 9th.  The Yanks O was a little better today, they even batted around in the third, but left the bases loaded, somehow, so they only scored 4.  They ended up winning 6-4  Drew had an RBI double, and Tex had his 19th jack.

I liked that Greene bent but didn't break.

Tex really crushed his.

I thought Green looked pretty good. Hope he stays in the rotation.

Drew is fitting in at 2B. He looks quite good in the field. I am sure he realizes this is the perfect audition for replacing Jeter next year. It gives him a leg up on Hardy, Cabdrusal and the others.
