Yanks: Tanaka to See the Doctor Today
Yankee Ace, Masahiro Tanaka will go see his doctor today to see if he can be cleared to start a throwing program. If he's not, I don't know how much longer they will wait to do TJS. This has been a horrible break for both Tanaka and the team, so I wish him the best, whether than means a throwing program or TJS, I don't know.

It has been a nightmare, but yes, I hope there is some clarity soon, and obviously, a very positive resolution.
An interesting quote from the erstwhile (I wish) GM: "Everyone is looking for offense. Offense is down."
So the old keys no longer work? Who could have foreseen that the withdrawal of PED would have an impact? Or that an aging roster might lose his productive ability?
Nostradamus, he isn't.
There's still HGH and pretty much anyone who has a beard has it to disguise the impact HGH abuse has on chins.
I am with "Lawyer" on this one. Everyone knew that PEDs were helping the players, especially the hitters. Ban them, get tough, and look what happened!! 1968 all over again (not quite, but you get my drift).
Hitters with a little pop, decent OBP skills, speed and the ability to make solid contact will be what teams need to build their lineups. Picture Bret Gardner without all the Ks.
There are no more lineups of "big hairy monsters", to quote Mr. Cashman.
BTW - If Tanaka is not able to start throwing real soon, they better not delay the TJ Surgery. He will probably miss all of 2015, and then there are only 2 years before his opt-out.
What does HGH do to the chin?
Billy, it's human growth hormone, it uncaps bones and makes them grow. It's most easily observed on chins, that start growing out and can deform. Noses can get a little funky, too and foreheads can thicken.
"then there are only 2 years before his opt-out."
I said this to someone at the time of the signing: I hoped he would opt-out then and now hope even more that he opts-out because that would mean that he is pitching great.
I once had a convo with Ken Davidoff in the comments of Newsday about CC's opt-out. He said that it would end up making the deal too expensive. I said I hoped he would opt-out because Joba and Hughes would be rotation mainstays by that point and they wouldn't need an aging CC.
Well, obviously I was completely wrong, although I wouldn't have given CC that extension anyway given the IP on his arm.
But I will still go with hope over experience, and hope Tanaka opts-out, and that Cashman or some other GM will have developed high-end young starters by then, mooting the consequence.
I will probably be wrong again, but whatever, I'm sticking.
Ich is in RF. Is Prado having trouble problems?
Prado had travel trouble and won't get there till game time.
