This Week On The Blog

It may or may not be a really interesting week on the blog.

Giants:  They are off till the start of training camp.  That doesn't mean they are done adding and subtracting players from the fringes of the roster.   And it's also possible they could extend a contract, though that would probably wait till camp or the dawn of the season.

Rangers:  They could start making moves in ernest.  They have cap room.  They also must start positioning themselves for the up coming draft and FA.   Actually, the draft will start later this week on the 27th, so we better get ready!

Knicks:  Melo will make a decision by Monday, and then moves will ensue.  Perhaps they'll even add a draft pick or two.

Yankees:  Big week for the Yanks.  They should get two Tanaka starts, which always helps.   And then they'll probably try to position Bryan Mitchell or someone else to take Nuno's net start.   And what are they going to do about the offense?  That's a bigger problem than the pitching.    And the system will keep churning now that all the affiliates are active.

So whether or not it's an interesting week sort of depends on whether the Rangers and Knicks can corral some draft picks.   It also depends on what the Yankees do, and if the Giants surprise us.  In any event, I want all of you to have your best weeks yet!
