Yanks: Beltran Hits a Walk Off Bomb!
Wow. I didn't think I'd get to post tonight. The Yanks were down 1 with two out and two on in the bottom of the 9th, and Carlos Beltran, who'd been in the tank all night, unleashed a three run jack! Yanks win! And thank goodness they did. Kuroda was great, but the O couldn't converted any bases loaded or two men on situations till the ninth. In fact, the rally was all Gardner, Tex, McCann and Beltran! It was 2-1 Orioles in the 8th when Betances had to come in to get the third out because Thornton was making a mess. Huff pitched the 9th and made it 3-1 Orioles, and then we got the miracle.
Down on the farm Severino was better than his numbers. He K'd 8 in 4.2, but he'd actually K'd 9 and the ump had blown it. So he gave up a double on the next pitch and got lifted for Ramon Benjamin who gave up a hit on his first pitch and that's why Severino's ERA is momentarily over 5. Sheesh, the ump was so bad that Tampa PC Danny Borrell got tossed for taking it up with him. Severino will be fine.
And Gary Sanchez hit a three run jack for Trenton that still hasn't landed yet.
Up and down night around the rest of the farm. SI isn't hitting yet.

Here's to hoping the benching was the wake-up call Gary Sanchez needed.
