Giants to Sign Ayers

The Giants have apparently come to terms with DE Robert Ayers on a 2 year deal.  This solidifies the DE rotation and depth for right now, the Ayers has been just okay and not great as a pro.    He is a pro  and will lessen the on field effects of losing Tuck.

The Giants have now done so much in free agency that they could even afford to trade up in the first round this year.   But I don't think that's what they are up to.   I actually think they have done this because they want to spread the rolling rebuild over 2 offseason/drafts.   So with signings like this one, and Charles Brown, they're looking for bandaids who can play a little, while they go about finding more starters like DRC and Schwartz, and drafting to improve their talent base.    We'll see.
