Yankees sign Brett Gardner for 5.6M

The Yankees avoided arbitration with Brett Gardner today by inking him to a 1 year 5.6M deal.   This is most likely his last deal with the Yankees and he's scheduled to be a FA after this `14 season.  He could still be traded before the season or at the deadline.   Until then, he'll play hard and contribute great defense.

UPDATE:  They also signed Shawn Kelly for  1.75 or so.
