Yanks Vs. Dodgers for Tanaka?
That seems to be the consensus coming out of the press. It's an interesting match up, because as the price rises, the Dodgers have to keep an eye on what they can still afford to give Clayton Kershaw. Earlier in the process, someone with knowledge of the Dodgers intentions said he didn't think they were gonna go big for Tanaka. Now, that was either wrong, or something changed, or their just a stalking horse. One of the baseball reporters on Twitter said "beware of the Cubs." Really? Really? When in 1903? Get real. The Yanks need to get this done then find one more bat.

I think Dodgers may be out after that mammoth extension for Kershaw.
7yrs / 215 mil.
Let's hope we can get Tanaka for 7/110.
That would be excellent and start setting us up. I felt the Dodger interest in Tanaka was leverage to get Kershaw to the table.
