Yanks Sign Matt Thornton

The Yanks today replaced their loogy, by signing Matt Thornton for the pen.  The deal is for 2 years at 3.5M per.  Not bad at all.  Though this is another old guy. he should be able to get lefties out.   Earlier in his career he was a dominant setup man, but then failed as a closer and lost value.  Now he should be a nice value as a loogy, though I still don't like buying FA relievers.    One less thing on the shopping list.   Now, get Tanaka, and trade for a bat that plays 3rd.
