Rangers Win and Reach .500

Woo-hoo!   The Rangers just beat the Blue Jackets in Columbus to reach .500 on the season.  A couple of weeks ago that looked like it would take much longer.    But, tonight, with Cam Talbot getting the start the Rangers were able to get the job done.  Hagelin scored the first goal of the night on assists by Richrards and Cally.  Then Cally redirected a McD shot on a pp for the second goal, then Columbus knocked one into their own net that I think was credited to Hagelin again, and finally Ryan McDonagh scored an empty netter.  4-2 Rangers.

A scary moment happened in the second when Marc Stall took yet another puck to the head.  Fortunately his helmet and shield protected him and he continued to play great hockey.   Taylor Pyatt took a high elbow from Brandon Dubinsky and did not return.  Much as I don't want him on the team, I hope he is okay and available to be a health scratch next game.
