Carl Hagelin Signs

The news has just broken that Carl Hagelin has signed his new deal with the Rangers.  No details have been released, but it won't be a 6/26 or whatever McD got.  The reason is that he's an important role player but he's not exactly core cause his replacements are already in the system.  I suspect a two year deal.

Derek Stepan should be next and it will be interesting to see if anyone goes for arbitration today - Step can't - which would eventually reopen our buyout window.

UPDATE: Yup, it's a 2 year deal for 4.5 (2.25 annual value)

I hear that it is a 2 year deal, 4.5 million total, or a cap hit of 2.25 million per season. This means the team should have some 4.2 million left for Stephan and Zuc.
