Cruz Makes His Deal

As we hinted last week, Victor Cruz came to his senses and accepted one of the Giants' offers.   The deal adds 5 more years to this year, so it's new money on top of his signed tender for a total of 6 years.   This brings up the slight possibility that Cruz will be on the team after Eli has retired.   That would be surreal.   Anyway, the guaranteed money is over 15 and early, which has never been a problem for the Giants.   Also, since it was one of the Giants ideas, their probably is a way for them to keep Hakeem Nicks, and that would be optimal.
