Rangers Add More Grit
Apparently, the Rangers aren't done sticking their toes in the pool. They just came to terms with big FA LW Benoit Pulliot, most recently of the lightning. This is another guy who can fight. And probably a sign that some of those spare parts I just talked about are on the way out.
UPDATE: though the first stuff that came up in my search were his fights, he's only fought like 8 times between AHL and NHL, though against guys like Krecji and Ferrence. What he was at one time was a 4th overall pick in 2005. Another one of those power forwards who have taken their time developing. So he could have some upside, as it is he's a very good skater for his size and hits a lot. The Rangers gave him 1.3 so they're even tighter against the cap at the moment. Though the summer cap is !0% higher, I'm now sure they have a trade in the works to alleviate both the roster and the cap.

All in all Sather made very responsible low risk moves. I'm sure there will be trades forth coming, possibly even to recoup picks.. pleased so far
yup. There must be trades afoot.
I wonder if these signings help convince Slats to trade Boyle. At 1.7 million,. he seems like a spare part now.
