Yanks Sign Chad Tracy
The Yanks have signed versatile 3B/1B/OF Chad Tracy. He cannot hit anymore for some reason, but he gives them some versatility off the bench for the short term. Colin Curtis or Kevin Russo will probably be sent down.

The M's are stupid. They won't get anything better than Montero. Their stupidity may save the Yankees from themselves here.
Based on something in Sherman's article, I think they want Banuelos included.

Better the Rangers than Rays or Twins. They don't scare me at all.
The Mariners dropped out, not the Yankees.
Per Sweeny Murti, the Yankees were the ones who backed out, since Seattle was showing other teams their offer:

Either way, I wouldn't make the trade. It gives you a short term high, but on reflection it's not worth the price.
