Yanks Lose

Javy Vazquez pitched 7 innings of shutout ball, and left with a 1-0 lead. Joba pitched the 8th, loaded the bases and gave up a grandslam. Yanks got two on in the top of the 9th, but weren't able to turn it into a rally.

Joba does not seem to be getting any better at the major league level. Jonathan Albaladejo is setting save records for SWB. They should be swapped. CC goes tomorrow, let's end the first half with a win! Go Yanks!

Having a $200m can make almost any manager look good, but when you insist on using Joba in the 8th no matter what, it's kind of obvious that you're really not that bright.

Well, maybe I overstated, but he is a stubborn mofo.

MikeK wants to do that trade.

I'd rather send Joba down and fix him.

but Girardi said, “I’m going to send him back out there, that’s what I’m going to do.”

Joba is inconsistent.

Either send him down to AAA for Alba or bring another arm in.

Putz?

Soria?

Although they would cost alot.

I don't think Joba is "fixable" as long as he's in NY, that's why I want to trade him for Soria.

We could have had Putz for pennies in the offseason, I don't understand why he wasn't signed, since it would've only been a one-year, low risk/high reward deal.

Cashman's inability to construct a decent bench (Winn instead of Reed Johnson, seriously?) or bullpen is something he needs to realize and make an effort to get better at.
