McDonagh Signs!

In a very nice turn of events, Wisconsin Defenseman Ryan McDonagh has decided to forego his senior season and sign with the Rangers. McDonagh was the key item in last summer's Gomez trade. The 7th overall pick in the 2007 draft, the Rangers had wanted him since he absolutely blew the doors off the NHL combine. McDonagh is a tough, strong stay at home defenseman who will be a perfect compliment to Del Zotto, if they decide to do that. He's a fine first passer, but he's not a Leetch type at all. He had been waffling before the recent prospect camp, but had such a positive experience, he decided to sign. Go Rangers!
