Pierce Cut

Today the Giants finally parted ways with a man who was once the heart and soul of a world championship defense. I think they could have taken his involvement in the Latin Quarter/Plax incident a little better if he could still run around and make plays. But, the former undrafted LB who worked all the way to the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl, is in steep decline, and they felt he had compromised his leadership. So that's that. Of coure, there is no clear replacement for him on the roster or in FA, thus far. The Giants still have not named a new QB coach. Go Giants.

Garafolo on with Kay now. He said AP said the neck wasn't the issue. He had a good MRI. The team gave him their reasons that he wouldn't go into.

It was the right move. Giants need to get younger and quicker at this position. AP gave us everything he has, but we need an upgrade.

I can't imagine that Goff will be our starting MLB going forward. Do we go FA or draft? We would have to reach for McClain....who else? If we depend on the draft then Coughlin's M.O. is to play the veteran, so Goff would start. It will be interesting to see this play out and see how Fewell's input drives these decisions.
