Granderson First Up?

The Yanks apparently have spent a large part of today trying to acquire Curtis Granderson from the Tigers. Apparently, a threeway deal that would send Ian Kennedy to the Dbacks, Austin Jackon, Phil Coke and Michael Dunn to the Tigers, Edwin Jackson to the Dbacks and Granderson and Dback prospects to the Yanks has reached an impasse. I would expect the impasse is coming from the Yankee side, because both Austin Jackson and Ian Kennedy are prime candidates for a Halladay trade. It will be interesting to see what's happens here as the DBacks are said to be pushing to get it done, and some names could end up changing. If Ajack and Ian go, it would probably be impossible to get Halladay without using Joba. Be smart, Yanks!

Apparently, the Yanks walked away thinking the prospect price was too high.

Like I said, the Tigers front office better realize that they aren't getting top prospects for Granderson in a salary dump.

Cash knows what he's doing.

It's my understanding then, that Cashman doesn't want to deal Jackson in any deal outside Halladay?

Too much to give up for Granderson.
