Big Win!

The Cowboys controlled the time of possession by a 2-1 margin, but the Giants made a ton of big plays and beat the 31-24 to move to 7-5 and pick up a game on the Cowboys in the East. Eli didn't have one of this best games, but did make some plays on the three four scoring drives. Steve Smith had a bunch of catches for over 100 yards, but three big drops including an easy TD pass that would have increased the final margin. Dominik Hixon finally looked like himself scoring on a 79 yard punt return early in the 4th. Jake had two TD's, one on the ground and another on a 74 yard pass play down the sidelines. Hakeem Nicks only had a few catches, but one was a TD where he muscled the ball into the endzone against Newman.

The D was still not terribly impressive, but Kiwi and Osi did combine on a FF/FR late in the second quarter which lead to the Giants go ahead points. If they go on a run and do anything this season, people will remember that play. In all they were a little stouter on first and second, but still gave up way too many 3rd down conversions. If they can clean that up, maybe they can do something.

Go Giants!

I haven't been this fired up since our last Super Bowl win. Our play at the line of scrimmage on defense was very good. The tackling was excellent. Romo is difficult because of his footwork and his passing accuracy but we tackled well after the catch and stopped their running attack. Kudos to team football.

Romo was doing something I thought he'd get flagger for: he kept stepping in in the shotgun to fake like the ball was on the way...
