Gaborik!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy crap! The Rangers just beat the Caps in Washington on the power of their own grit and Gaborik. The Rangers fell behind early off a Rozsival turnover, and didn't really help themselved by taking penalties (9) all night. But, midway through the second off a long kill, Callahan stayed on ice and broke free to tie the game at one. Two minutes later, the Rangers took the lead when Lisin and Artie Anisimov set up Ales Kotalik for his second goal in two games. Early in the third, the Caps tied it up on a lucky bouncer from behind the blueline that snuck past Hank. Then the Rangers took another penalty and fell behind 3-2 on a power play goal. Eighteen seconds later, Gaborik tied it on a pass from Prospal. A couple of minutes later, Del Zotto hit him with a perfect two line pass and he buried the game winner. That was just a spectacular turnaround from the point where the Caps got lucky, then took their short lived leadn. It was a great night for most of the team, with the exception of Rozsival who was nailed to the bench from the second period on. Next game is Sunday, and Avery should be back for that. Go Rangers!
