CC and the Bats

First, CC Sabathia was superhuman on 3 days rest. He pitched 8 strong innings of 1 run ball. The run came on a homer that Morales somehow hit righty. He worked out of some trouble in the middle innings, before cruising through the 7th and 8th. That was a huge, Hall of Fame type performance from the Yankee Ace and he deserves all the praise he will get for it. Chad Gaudin pitched a 1-2-3 9th and the Yanks won 10-1..
The bats as you can see came back. ARod had another homer as well as a single and a double. He also scored two absolute hustle runs, and he did it all with the flu. Damon hit another homer. Melky drove in four. And the Yanks were able to do this all around a bunch of baserunning blunders by Jeter, Po, Gardner and Melky. What a night! The Yanks are one game away from their rightful place. AJ goes for the pennant on Thursday. Go Yanks!
