Rangers Win!

What a game! The Rangers scored just 37 seconds into the game(Roszival) then didn't score again till the third period. In the meantime the Panthers jammed up the neutral zone and took a lead on two second period goals. In the third, the Rangers put it together and started flat outskating them. Prucha had the game tying goal, DRURY had the game winning goal, then Callahan and Straka each scored to give us a 5-2 final. Much maligned Marek Malik had 3 assists! Drury also had 3 points on a goal and two assists. Staal looked fine in his debut and Dubinsky was also fine, though Renney couldn't resist flip flopping him with Betts in the 3rd. It would be nice if this season, I could only say positive things about Roszival and Malik. Let's hope it's just that kind of magic year.

Either or both of Malik and Ros will not be back at seasons end. My guess is that if he has a good year Ros will stay while Malik is gone. I am hoping Sauer and Baranka continue to develop as they can be contributors.

Great 1st game for Drury, solid come back win. I do think the D will be addressed come deadline time if it is needed. This has the makings of a special year. Renney better learn how to use the assets he has helped draft and groom, and not let his bench decisions get in the way of our goal.

Rumblings are Mara is on the block, and may be moved for picks and or other assets to be used in a bigger deal to boost the D.

We've been hearing that for awhile.

I think something is going to happen where we get a top 4 D-man. No way Slats holds out if he thinks we are close.

Betts better not center the 3rd line

3 of our top 4D's are already on the team, just not on the first pair, and we have another getting close at Hartford.
